Introduction to the Art of Photography, 2026

Μυριαγκός Γιώργος

door9athens, located at 9 Meintani Street in Koukaki, will host a series of hands-on workshops in the art of photography, aiming to help participants practically apply the theory they are taught—both in the studio and on location.

door9 will offer its exhibition space free of charge, giving participants the opportunity to present their personal work to an audience within a real exhibition setting.

About the Seminar

This seminar introduces students to the art of photography and is addressed both to those who are just beginning their journey in photography and to those who wish to fill an existing gap in photographic education—particularly regarding studio use and a deep understanding of the nature of light and its fundamental principles.
The goal is for participants to photograph with greater confidence, feeling that they truly control light rather than react to it.

Structure & Schedule

The seminar will take place twice a month, on Wednesday evenings, in a fully equipped professional studio in Koukaki, and will also include photographic walks in Plaka, Thissio, the Acropolis, and other areas, focusing on street photography.

Participants will become familiar with studio equipment, enabling them to create the desired result using artificial lighting and to simulate natural light within a studio environment.
